Like its lovable heroes, this sidescrolling brawler packs a heck of a punch. The combat’s fast and fierce, spread across huge levels littered with foes and hidden areas. It’ll be a while before we unlock all the secrets and upgrades, but with so much retro-style fun, we don’t mind a bit.
AMAZING GAME
This is an absolute masterpiece for a retro style action fighter game. I can’t even begin to list all the things that make it such a good game but i’ll do a few. Halfbrick mastered the retro style that makes this game iconic and even the fact that it has so many game modes like adventure, main game, survival, and frosty plains are all so unique. Good job Halfbrick but I have 1 request. Maybe make a Barry Stakekfires custom character skin that you can get after completing the game on easy mode and hard mode. Other than that an amazing game and amazing design. Keep up the good work Halfbrick
Definitely an excellent must-play.
I’ve got little to no complaints. The fighting mechanisms are fun and fair, and there’s a lot to do. Sure, some additional content is behind a paywall, but the main story is more than enough to satisfy the majority of the audience. I myself have bought the additional levels, and they provide an extra challenging experience for those who want to stick with the game for a bit. You miss out on very little by not paying, and the ads are not that intrusive.
Some recommendations from a long-time player that wants a more satisfying combat experience:
-Make clearer indications of melee critical hits so that it is clearly recognizable, potentially even with a completely different hitsound.
-If you jump and dodge as soon as, say, an enemy tries to hit you with his baton, the enemy should glance up at you to really take the satisfaction of dodging to a whole new level.
