The app is busted and the AI generated stories spit out gibberish English.

It’s also very hard to learn another language by reading a story. You won’t be able to learn basic phrases this way or basic conversational skills.

I haven’t had a chance to actually USE the app yet; this review is about the onboarding process. You’re given two choices for creating an account: log in using Google, or Log in Using Apple. There is no “log in with email” option. There’s also no explanation of what you’re supposed to do with the app; when I opened it, it took me straight to writing a story in the language I want to learn. As far as I can tell, that’s all this app does: writes a story in the language you want to learn, then you’re left to figure it out by looking up the translation for every sentence. There’s no “gamifying” as described in the app store. Oh, and the “help” tab, when you eventually find it, does nothing but take you back to the “what language do you want to learn” page.

I’m going to give the app a try anyway; maybe this storytime thing is an effective learning method after all… but I’m skeptical, and unimpressed so far.

Currently, we only support Google and Apple logins for simplicity and security, but we’ll consider adding more options, like email login, in the future. As for the app’s functionality, it’s designed to help you learn through interactive storytelling, with translations and gamified elements unfolding as you progress. Also, there’s no need to look up translations manually — you can simply tap on any sentence to see its translation right within the app!

That said, we see how the onboarding process and lack of clear guidance may have made it feel unclear. We’re working on improving this experience to better introduce you to the app’s features and goals right from the start.
