- Includes all new functionality and bug fixes up to Obsidian Desktop v1.8.10.
- Improved the onboarding flow to make it more clear that Sync is optional and make it easier to jump directly into vault creation.
- Shared Sync vaults will now included in the list of existing vaults during onboarding.
- Fixed bug where `obsidian://` URIs would not fire their action if the app was previously closed.
- The navigation bar now shows up immediately when the keyboard closes.

An IDE for the way you think

It’s so elegant, extendible, and customizable without getting in your way, and it doesn’t lock you in to a proprietary format like all the other notes apps. Be sure to download Nick Milo’s LYT Kit to see some great ways to use Obsidian.

Excellent app

The mobile version is a close match for the excellent desktop app, which I’ve been using for the last year or so. I was pleasantly surprised that I could synchronize the vault that I have on GitHub, so I didn’t have to make any changes on my iMac to get the two apps talking to each other. I’m happy to recommend highly both Obsidian apps to anyone wanting to implement a Zettelkasten.

Obsidian, where were you all my life?

Wow! I moved from Notion to Obsidian and I feel like I went from a crockpot only to a commercial kitchen. Lots to learn but it exceeds Notion after only one week already. Much more powerful, endless option and biggest thing you can host your own data and use it offline as well. I placed my vault on iCloud and use it on Mac, iPad and iPhone now. So far flawless syncing and blazing fast. I can’t wait to explore more of the community plugins and features that go much beyond what Notion was offering.
