Control

I want to be able to control units maybe make a commander that does not attack but you will be able to control units with him

Levels 1-3 are just typical “grind for some upgrades, learn what your doing, grow stronger with money” that you usually get, but level 4 and 5 and where things get grindy and unfair. If you keep grinding you can get raw stats strong enough to outright beat level 4, before that you need some degree of strategy (my personal strat was super healing 1 or 2 troops while they tank all kinds of damage), however, at level 5 any sort of strategy aside from RAW STATS is a loosing strategy. Backline simply disappear with against the ballistas, so healers, archers, and wizards are out (although wizards and archers were never useful to begin with unless you invest in range) and again, unless you have raw stats your front troops wont survive long enough to beat the level, and you cant replace them because the cost of buying troops scales too much. The only other way to boost stats that i can find is events and cards, but events only give rewards for the first time reaching a given milestone and from what i can see the events dont even happen daily. Even if you do succeed you are basically required to watch a video for extra potions to squeeze as much reward as you possibly can. Same thing with gems to get cards. And heres the problem. With how aggressive the grind is, the only real way to progress is via cards with gems, which surprise surprises can be bought and BARELY grinded for via an endless stream of opt in ads. You essentially require the ads because you can double crown gains to make progression slow, not crawling… oh thats right, you can pay money for crown multiplier too. Oh, and i forgot to mention, with how scummy mobile game ads are now, almost every opt in ad lasts over a minute. Now, if your still reading, you may ask why im focused on stats not strats. Well, strats are useless. You cant control what you take into a level, you cant position where your troops spawn, you dont even have full control over what troops you can buy when you can eventually afford to buy more. Generally speaking, its fun if you dont mind and endless unchanging grind that gets exponentially worse. User beware.
