Across: Modern Calendar 4+

Solid contender for a calendar app that brings something fresh to the table...

There are many calendar apps. The default Apple Calendar app does a pretty good job out of the box. Many of the other alternatives fail to offer anything compelling beyond that standard functionality.

I've tried a fair few calendar apps, and I've been pleasantly surprised by this one. The level of customisation and the range of different views have sold me on it. There's a trend towards AI in calendaring these days— this isn't one of those calendars that'll reorganise your schedule for you. Nor will it allow you to poll options for meetings. But on most if not all of the other fronts it's a surprisingly strong offering. I say "surprisingly" simply because I hadn't heard of it before.

I already use two other calendar apps for specific views. I'm adding across to my calendar "stack" specifically for planning. There's a lack of reliable, well designed and affordable calendar apps that offer an attractive overview of your time and scheduled appointments for planning, and this fills that hole for me perfectly.

There's a lot of noise in the App Store. Every now and then, however, the App Store offers up a gem. This app is one of those gems. Kudos to the developer.

Way ahead of the rest

Came across this completely by accident and I am so glad I did.

I have used so many calendar apps on iOS over the last 10 years or so and this one is superb. It functions well and looks beautiful. The animations flow smoothly and don’t get in the way. I love the sheer number of views and the amount of configuration options.

Many calendars either look good or have great functionality but this one has both.

The calendar app I've been looking for

It's early days, but so far this calendar app is awesome. The customisable options are huge, it has the agenda view which was a deal breaker for me, the month view quick-look at a day is brilliant. It is just so, so good. Hats off to the developer, who, by the way, has responded quickly to any feedback.

Oh yeah, and it's not a subscription! Bonus!!
