Cats & Soup : Magic Recipe 4+

It is a pleasant little game to relax with. Simple merging gameplay with some minigames. Good as free to play; there are options unlocked by payments/ads that give more energy and higher grade items, but definitely not necessary. For me, main reason to play are pretty visuals, especially extremely cute cats.

There are some bugs, but seem to be dealt with quickly. Support is fast to act. Not sure if the events are balanced well, but they are still playable as ftp. Personally, I would change interactions of „rebel” cats - they can be very noisy, and I don’t like when they are aggressive towards other cats. It can be argued cats can be like that, but I would rather prioritise game’s feelgood aspect.

I’m a long time player of Cats & Soup original and though I would try this out. It has all the charm of the original and it is great to see the cats up close and with more animations. I think the mini games are adorable and add a lot of additional fun to a fairly simple concept. However the adverts are much more aggressive in this game than the original. I paid to remove ads on the other game a long time ago and hoped there would be a similar option here but sadly not. I haven’t found any way to pay to avoid ads at all, on a temporary or permanent basis, though I see from the other review that there is 1 month for 7.99, which is way too expensive (e.g. PlayStation online membership starts £6.99 which lets you access multiple games). I have found the Cats&Soup devs to be a good company who really listen to user feedback and communicate regularly so hopefully this will change in future. It’s a cute game and I will keep playing.

ive been reading a lot of the reviews that are negative about the new update, i joined after so cannot comment on game feel before but i am really enjoying the game. The daily mini games for extra energy are cute and fun, the merge system not making sense really isnt a big deal, i dont care that two apples make a lime in the grand sceme of things, adding to the house is also satisfying and the designs are great…

two things, the current event happening is lowkey annoying, the merge system seems harsh, almost all of the items its asking for needs the thread etc and i cant just craft it i have to wait 4 hours for a bit of wool to then not even have enough because i need to make 4 tshirts or whatever, it is a bit extreme, especially as i wont have the time to get to level 30 and get the cute cat at the end even when i come back multiple times a day to use up the energy and merge more.
my other comment is it is very unclear how to get more cats… everytime i upgrade the tree it expands the amount of cats that i can have but i have no clue how to get more, randomly i sometimes get a bubble with a cat face in and another comes but i have 22 slots for cats and only 8 lol, i want to fill my house with them but have no idea how
