Not working properly since 2025 update
2025 March update:
What happened!? There was an ipad os update and an update to this manga reader at nearly the same time and it is now basically unusable.
I believe there is a problem with the sources the manga is aggregated from, because i use a different reader that is having similar issues. (Opening something just gives you the swirling loading circle forever.)
I have tried hotspotting to my phone and the result is still the same.
I’m not looking forward to going back to ad-heavy websites for my fix.
At this rate, I might have to actually go out and talk to people, it’s just not right.

With the amount of manga I read I paid for the full app. It was a one-off payment and well worth the money overall.
Minor annoyances:
- app does occasionally lose your place in the mangas you’ve favourited.
- favourites not saved between devices. So if you install it on another device (in my case a second ipad), it will not bring your favourites across.
- more of a problem with the data source than this app; you get the occasional chapter which tells you to go read it on their website. I wish mangakalot would double check before allowing new chapters to go up because it has stopped me reading one or two really good series because I couldn’t be bothered to go to some random (possibly dodgy) website
Its a very good app overall. Would recommend.
The new update is still not back to how it was before
They say they fixed bugs before but it actually started bugging for me after the update. Then they updated again saying that it will fix the loading issues but it’s only a little better. I can finally see the newer updates but it doesn’t show on the actual tab I see the new updates from the main screen where there a little section for it but when I press it nothing has changed. Plus for a lot of the mangas, I try to open a chapter and it’s stuck buffering.
Issues with app
The app was very good. I loved it. But ever since the bug issue I tried deleting and reinstalling. Tried to see if I could log in back to my account again but there is no such option, even though there’s an option to restore my purchase. But my main concern is, when I was looking for the manhwa’s and manga’s I was reading none of them show as found, as if they don’t exist on the app anymore. How do I fix this??
