Entertaining and surprisingly deep
The graphical style is not to everyone’s taste, but the game has some serious longevity as you unlock and progress through its many levels
Very repetitive
The game looks great and is atmospheric. The little nuggets of info you get about the world are really intriguing. And it’s cool to see the creative designs of the mechs and pilots you face. Unfortunately the gameplay is extremely basic. Fights are very repetitive and limited. The most exciting thing is unlocking a new piece of equipment (and hopefully an extra line or two of dialogue) but the equipment (after playing for a few hours) is usually not even as good as the starter gear. I don’t regret the time I spent with thx game… just not sure I’m here for the long unrewarding grind.
Fun but lack of depth
It’s a good fun offline game to play to kill time, lack of customisation options that are actually impactful is a bit frustrating though
