Perplexity: Ask Anything 17+

I’ve been trying out a bunch of AI tools to speed up my work, but I always had issues with the results. That’s all changed now. I got the paid version of Perplexity and use it every day for research - it never lets me down. It always gives me tons of great information about anything I need.
It’s a shame there’s no Safari extension, because that would be amazing. If they added some SEO tools, it’d be perfect. I really think Perplexity could be the future of internet search as we know it. It might even give Google and Microsoft a run for their money.
Perplexity is already a great browser, but you know what I mean - it has the potential to be even more. I’m excited to see how it develops and changes how we find information online.

First, I love that this is even available for my older Macs - OpenAI made the ChatGPT client Apple Siliconly which I feel was… dumb.

Yeah so I’m a big fan of Perplexity, it’s a great alternative to Google that’s for sure - Google having been on a multi decade decline at this point, and hamfistedly shoving AI features in now as well. Perplexity does the AI bit right and is one of the most cost effective ways to access a cavalcade of AI models and knowledge bases. I love it.

I only have two niggles - one is with the Perplexity UX itself, which is I wish it made clicking the outbound links easier, with a clear list of sites consulted at the end (or even the beginning). Not having this hurts this as a default search option - personally I’m still trying to get somewhere else most of the time.

And the issue I have with the app is that unless I’ve missed it there’s no way to alter the font size or really anything in the UI? I mean, way to fit in with macOS lol but seriously, even Mac apps let you enlarge the text most of the time.

Hopefully it will be added in a future update, but besides that this gives you the first-class Perplexity experience and I feel it’s worth it even if you don’t subscribe to Perplexity Pro.
