Interesting and very relaxing
I had this on preorder after playing their butterfly games and it’s just as good, but even more relaxing. I harvest bubbles and feed fish & frogs, and check for improvements to my area, but then I watch the fish and chill a while! There’s just enough to keep interested and nothing to stress over. Recommended!
Long awaited
I’ve been anticipating the release of pond life now for a while since I discovered its intended release date.
First impressions are wonderful, as per usual for all of the runaway games series.
The graphics are lovely, it sets a much calmer tone than Splash, I’m assuming due to the ambiance and soft piano music. I’ve been playing for about an hour now give or take and have reached level 7. Level progression is simple and does grown. Difficulty, I’ve noticed already at level 7 the XP is taking much longer to level up due to higher requirements with low level creatures.
The variety of creatures available so far is nice and fresh and it’s really good to see a freshwater version of the game.
I’ve so far had one glitch where decoration levels stayed on the screen and two incidents of freezing but I’m expecting this to be ironed out pretty quickly and will only be due to the game recent release.
So far a lovely cozy experience and can’t wait to see what else unfolds.
Super relaxing
This game is very cute. The art style, music and info are great and the game mechanics work well. My only qualm is not being able to see all of the fish I’ve grown in either the great river or my own pond without the arrows over them to release them. I like seeing the shoals so it would be nice to have this feature :) however i understand that the game is still very new so this may happen in the future.
