SkinSort - Skincare Scanner 4+

This app is what helped me finally get a grip on my skin care routine! As someone who never put much thought into my skin, SkinSort made the process far less overwhelming! There are so many products out there you can never be too sure that you’re buying the right labels, big fan of the categorising feature that lets you view all products safe for your specific needs :)

I do really like this app, I think it's a really good idea, I love how there's a community and it helps keep a diary and track of your skin's ups and downs, but it doesn't have that many products available to add to your routine, so I can't keep track of what I'm using. I also can only use the scanner a couple amount of times before it tells me I have to go premium.

Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it! :) We're working hard to add any missing products to our database - if you'd like to see a product added you can go the "You" tab and tap Shelves -> Submissions -> New Submission. We do our best to get submissions added within 24 hours!

While we'd love to offer unlimited use of the product scanner for free, it does cost us money to operate it so we had to add some use limits. We do offer unlimited use of the text-based ingredient analyzer if you'd like to check products we don't have in our database!

The website says it’s free. The FAQs say that an account is free. There’s no mention that the service requires a subscription until you’ve made an account. It’s extremely misleading.

Let me be clear I’m not leaving a negative review because it is a service that requires a subscription. It’s negative because I was not informed that I would have to pay a subscription until I made an account, in fact the FAQs said it would be free.

If it was made clear that a paid subscription was required to use the service then I would have avoided because I don’t think it’s worth it. I wasted my time and now I’m leaving this review because someone should tell you that it’s not free.
