Description

Lost, alone and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten city.

Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by curious droids and dangerous creatures.

See the world through the eyes of a cat and interact with the environment in playful ways. Be stealthy, nimble, silly, and sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this mysterious world.

Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B-12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.

Stray is developed by BlueTwelve Studio, a small team from the south of France mostly made up of cats and a handful of humans.

Amazing Graphics, Fantastic Game

What a beautiful, wonderful game. Having just completed it I recommend everyone should give this a go. From the intricately detailed world, stunning graphics, and the unique gameplay being a cat brings to the game (such as crawling through tight spaces and jumping to places not normally reachable), really makes this a refreshing and enjoyable experience. The automatic saves occur often enough to allow me to play quick bursts whenever I have a spare moment, and I felt it was long enough to be worth the money too.
My M2 Pro Mac Mini plays the game at 4K max detail with no issues, and an old Nimbus wireless controller made playing a breeze. I am seriously impressed with the graphic capabilities of these M-series chips, with the lovely water reflections, colourful scenes, and great ambiance. I would recommend setting the Gamma brightness slightly higher than the "just visible" it suggests though, but this can be adjusted in game anyway.

M2 Macbook Air 15" 2023

I was a curious cat, when I first saw this game. Never in a million years did I think I would get to play it on a Mac.

This game is beautiful, fun and engrossing. I never thought playing as a feline, would be so much fun!

Overall this game runs with no issues whatsoever, however there are occasional moments where the game does freeze... It doesn't really affect gameplay as it is so infrequent. It didn't do it on the action scenes for me either, so didn't ruin the experience, but will likely be sorted with up and coming patches.

The music/sound effects are as good as the visuals to be honest, you won't be disapointed. It reminds me of a cyberpunk style Kowloon, with lots of Neon signs and built up urban areas... I love the vibe.

This game isn't as long as i'd hoped and seemed to be over before it started, but is well worth a purchase, just to support the developer with a sequel?

Its an amazing game, I scored it 5/5 as its one of the best games I have played in years and well worth the low price tag.

Here kitty, kitty

They say curiosity killed the cat. However, in this case, it killed my budget as it does feel a pricey game.

However, I just love wandering around, working out the puzzles and enjoying the atmosphere so money well spent and the first game I have played on mmy new Macbook Air M2.

For anyone interested. Even with 8gb it runs well for me and I boot from a Samsun T7 1TB drive just for games. Though at a slightly lower resolution and 30fps.
