The Gardens Between 4+

I look forward to spending time with the gardens between which is the highest compliment I can think of for a game, especially considering how crowded the market is. The combination of exploration and gentle puzzles works really well. This is especially true with the touch controls on iOS and turning the diorama-like levels around has a really intriguing feel to it. Graphics and music/sound are very good. The only minor downside is that it seems to heat up my iPad quite fast and the frame rate stutters occasionally but this is a worthwhile trade off for being able to play such a technically demanding (in terms of visuals) game on iPad.

This is a rare gem; as a game it's hard to describe but essentially you play two characters moving back and forth in time, moving from one world area to the next by capturing energy. Figuring out how to capture the energy and keep it intact until the end of the stage is the tricky part, as it involves puzzling out the correct place for each character to be as the timeline moves.

It's beautifully designed, the graphics are great (especially during the stunning opening sequence, set in what looks like Japan) and the gameplay is relaxing and charming. Five stars all the way!

Not what I was expecting but still very good, clever game mechanics with quirky ideas thrown in to surprise and delight especially liked the tv moment, worth the 💰😃

Edit: I’m now further on in the game and wow it is awe inspiring, wish I could add on a sixth 🌟 thank you developers for such beauty.

Sorry to keep going on about how amazing this game is but I’m totally transfixed, the game mechanics keep adapting in more and more inventive ways, the visuals are a feast for the eyes and it has a pure magical realm feel to it. I’m so grateful to the developers who’s hard work makes this possible.

Well I’ve just finished and am blown away, if I could have imagined my perfect game this would be it, I was devastated when it was over but the ending was lovely, it staggers me how creative the developers of games like this are, the best games evoke such emotion while also giving unique gameplay, this did that above and beyond. 🌈
