Triode uses auto-renewing subscriptions. The subscription provides additional features like high-quality artwork and favorites. The subscription will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of your subscription period and will be charged through your iTunes account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time from your iTunes account settings. Cancellation of the current active subscription period is not allowed.

• Access Shazam via the Now Playing view:
- iOS: Tap the music note icon to open the control panel

Good App from a great company
I was looking for a lightweight app to replace my radio widgets in the now defunct dashboard. I've got simple needs and will listen to the same station for 95% of the time. Really dont need the subscription bits of the app (sorry Iconfactory) as I'm not going to use this on ios as other apps and SIri work fine there. I would have paid a one-time amount for the app if it contained artwork and a few station station presets.. the icloud sync simply isn't worth it for me. (YMMV).
Only quibble is the volume control which I'd prefer to be always present as a control, rather than having to click through to an earlier page view, then click the volume icon.. all v fiddly.. (I don't use/have adjustable system volume). Also volume doesnt have particularly fine-grained control at it's lowest levels -either off, or comparatively loud.
Otherwise, great work from Iconfactory, a brilliant company, making great, considered software.
Good So Far
I rather like this app. It's perhaps too simple, and a little non-mac like. But it does what I need it to.
The big feature for me is the syncing with the iPhone and iPad, and from there using Siri Shortcuts to play radio stations. It is rather briliant for that. So whilst there are things that could be improved, it's advantages outweigh the cosmetic issues. It has become my radio player of choice on the iPhone so I have used it more too on the mac.
Just added the one feature I longed for…
I'd been looking for a solid but lightweight internet radio app since the excellent Radium went away. Triode launched at the perfect time and was just what I'd been looking for. At launch though, it lacked any'what was the last track?' song history feature. Well, this update brings that, as well as a few other welcome additions. This means that Troide now does everything I need in a radio player, and does it beautifully across all my platforms.
