Ratings and Reviews
Love it, but please bring back some old features!!
After the update iOS 18, you can’t view the Live Photos like you could before because now you can only press it to see the live or u have to edit to see the Live Photo in a similar way as before. I liked how you could watch a Live Photo like a video before, it was so much easier and felt like an apple feature. Can you please bring that back, since it is a lot easier to navigate and also, I like how the update makes it look like we’re living in the future, but I feel like some of the old features can be brought back, please apple, we want you to be unique like apple, it was lovely before!! Also, when you edit using the tools, when using the thick marker, when you choose a customized color, it makes it translucent, but before there was a way to make it opaque, can you bring that back too?!
Successfully destroyed once beautiful
Apple team has successfully destroyed their once beautiful app with this update. Now photos looks like a cluttered messy container of mixed photos with impractical features. I can't express how much I am missing the older version. I have started using paid version of third party app and also planning to migrate to Pixel next year which is getting better day by day.
I am utterly disappointed with Apple team right now and missing the design vision of the legend late Steve Jobs.
Note to Apple Guys:- I am getting frustrated using your new useless so called photos app. I urge you people to revert it to the previous version. Or else I will sue you for destroying my peace of mind. We want minimalist, simple and usable app. If you guys continue this version, I will feel having been cheated by you and will stop using your products in future.
You should know how to develop a usable app. For a Photo app, there should be separate folder for photos clicked through iPhone Camera, separate folders created in the respective names of the apps for photos saved from different third party apps like Facebook whatsapp etc., separate folder should be created for photos synced from mac or PCs. And above all to switch these folders, tab bar should be provided rather than irritating infinite vertical scroll.
Polished app with a major flaw.
I just recently made a switch to iOS, everything about the photos app seemed very polished and integrated, untill I noticed that every single photo whether camera photos, downloaded wallpaper, random screen-shots, and every photo you save to gallery-gets cumulated in the main album, the only way to access just the camera photos is to go in to photos> go to albums> go to places> toggle grid view.... Really hope apple could add a camera section in the photos app
