ArcadeMania lets you play arcade games from the past 30+ years on your device. It supports over 5,000 arcade games as well as vintage computers and electronic games, and uses the open source MAME (version 0.269) as the emulation core.

ROM files are not included and must be provided by you. You may import ROMs using the file import functionality, or via the Files app.

Worth the wait

Edit: As mentioned in my GenZD review, your game mode is not working. There is no pop up that says ‘game mode on’ like other supported apps. For one thing, I believe it needs to be classified as a ‘game’ versus ‘entertainment’. That seems to control the pop up at least. Is it working and we just don’t see the pop up?

Thank you for not giving up on this one. You deserve a model for patience. It took a year, but better late than never.

This is a great, feature rich app. What I like about this is the preservation and history aspect that comes with this type of emulation. Reliving the arcade experience from back in the day. Thanks again!

Hi! You might not see Game Mode if it has been activated before. Sometimes you need to wait 5 mins after the app has launched for it to work. Thanks!

Finally it is here

Been too long of a wait, but we finally have the best arcade (MAME) emulator officially on the App Store. Built on the 269 emulation core but the latest 276 set seems to work great. This emulator has the absolute best arcade ROM emulation for iOS devices. The visuals are fantastic, sounds are perfect (for ROMs I’ve tested), game controller support works flawlessly - you can do everything from navigating the front end to launching and playing games with the game controller. And best of all it’s absolutely free with no ads and no IAPs. Perfect and thank you devs for all the hard work.

MAME on iOS for real!

Finally, a working MAME for iOS! And it really works. Smooth emulation, even for the relatively newer games. The ROM importing is flawless, bulk importing, using ZIP files, no problem. I can’t believe this is free!
