Hyper: VTuber Studio 12+

One, this is my most used and favorite app, I seriously love hyper… two, I can report anyone than YouToon *thank you very much* three, developers may be greedy on the outside, but they care about vtubers and others.. four, on the other hand. Us, vtubers. we can definitely report some harsh vtubers. Five, we love something’s about this app, is that. I love this app. I love how you can import your own avatars and can choose freely between photo, video, and streaming mode. However, watching streams is nearly impossible as they’re always lagging or glitching to the point nothing can be seen or heard on the stream. There’s also frequent glitches where text boxes won’t open and you can’t type in them, like in the streaming mode when you set a topic. Another common glitch is that you have to place an item (props, text, etc.) in OBS behind your avatar in order to delete it. It’s minor things like this that make the app feel a lot less reliable and makes entire features obsolete, especially features that are integral to the app’s performance.

Seriously, a live streaming app where you can’t watch livestreams? I’d also like it to be easier to acquire poses, emotes, and other avatar items, as gems are hard to obtain and there’s not many other ways to get items.

From what I understand this app is still in beta and marketed as early access, so there’s tons of room for improvement and I won’t be too harsh. The customization options available to date are all very unique and fun, avatars and clothing are rendered nicely and the facial capture is very nice! However, the app does seem to struggle with glitches and crashes. The avatar/hand rigging often bugs out and body parts disappear at random. Emotes also seem to cause the game to crash and avatars to bug out at times. But once all these issues are addressed and resolved, you have yourself a very solid, vibrant and smooth app for those new to the vtuber scene! Very excited to see what’s in store.
