Love Small Door but not the “refer a friend” app notifications

My dog had surgery yesterday at SD and, honestly, I have zero complaints. They have been amazing in all aspects during this first year of his life. However, since yesterday I have received countless “refer a friend” notifications from the app. I don’t know if it’s a glitch or what but, Lordy, is it annoying!

Disappointing

Where to start? First this applies to the 14th St location in DC. The support staff has been incredibly rude to me and my partner and at times have shown gross laziness and incompetence. Staff cuts corners on the wellness exam but sure they will charge $100 for it. The office’s late policy is completely ridiculous given a major city and the lack accessibility for vehicles, keep in mind you can’t exactly just walk long distances with a sick pup. How about a little empathy and understanding? No, they’ll threaten to charge you for being late and never apologize for long wait times on their end. I always feel like I’m being milked for money instead of myself and my pup being of genuine concern to them. The office may seem nice and flashy but the complete lack of empathy and emotional connection makes it an incredibly uncomfortable and cold setting. Finally, aside from this option there’s no opportunity to rate a visit or provide feedback. So I hope this review is useful to any DC consumer looking for a vet. Look elsewhere!

Ongoing Bugs and App Crashes

I have been trying to add a new pet to my account for 4 days now, but the app keeps crashing when I try to select a plan after entering the pets information. The app also crashes when I try to access the Billing section of my account. The app has never been seamless, but these new issues are making it unusable. My new pet needs to see a vet asap and I’m unable to book an appointment, and when I call in or visit the local branch they say that I’ll have to wait for tech support to fix it as they cannot add my pet for me. So frustrated. Considering seeking other veterinary attention at this point.
