IMPORTANT:
For customers who use LUTs extensively, a special LUT cleanup option has been added to Cleanup in Help & Settings to remove old duplicated LUT storage.
This option will improve performance and decrease the size of the project database over time.
(Note that the cleanup may temporarily reduce performance while the system eliminates wasted space in the project database.)

Wherever you are on your filmmaking journey, this multitrack video editor meets you there. Its features are rarely found in an iPad app, and everything’s accessible through an intuitive touch interface.
Fantastic
I use LunaFusion almost daily for editing videos for our car auction business. Its easy to use, even though it has a lots of advanced features. For our business, speed is crucial, and LumaFusion delivers in heaps. I can edit and export +-20 short and simple videos in a couple hours, but still able to do more advanced editing compared to iMovie.
Sure, its not going to replace something as complex as Premiere, but its extremely capable and probably the best video editing software available on the iPad.
The only thing i wish they would improve is the audio filters. Something that easily can reduce background noise without having to understand any of the technical details.

We do hope to update and improve in our audio features, but that'll be further down the line!
Not getting the latest updates + Limitations
Hi! First of I would like to say that this is an incredible app, it’s the most professional mobile editing app on the market. However I have 1 of 2 problems. The first been that I don’t get all the latest updates for luma. Whenever there is an update i always install it instantly as soon as I see it. However with one of the recent updates HEVC with transparency has been added. When I load up lumafusion I don’t see the option. I still have the old interface and none of the newer hud tools. This is very problematic as I am trying to improve my editing experience but I am unable to do so with this barrier. Kindly fix this. Another problem is, there is a lot of limitations in terms of motion editing. Features such as mirroring, motion blur, proper masking, wave and curves are not available while other FREE editing apps do. Also ( and this isn’t a problem, but rather a request) could you add a form of twixtor to lumafusion? I think it would make a great addition to the app! I hope someone from the team reads this! Please email us at [email protected] so we can figure out why you are not receiving the updates. We will request what device you are using and which iOS version you are running.
We do offer mirroring, blurs, and some other visual effects in our Color & Effects editor. This is access by double-tapping a video or photo clip on the timeline. You can also select your clip then tap on the edit (pencil) button in the bottom toolbar.
More sophisticated masking and more effects are something we hope to add in the future.
