The app is terrible
It lacks so many basic features that most modern video streaming apps have now. For example a continue watching section for the SERIES your watch not just the episode. Navigating it is horrible too. Getting to series and episodes takes too many steps. The watchlist is pointless without any way to track what you have or haven’t seen yet. Needs improving. The streams themselves are perfectly fine though.
Highly Appreciating HIDIVE’s Inclusive Feature
I want to express my gratitude to HIDIVE for providing the option to watch anime with both dubbed audio and English subtitles simultaneously. This feature is incredibly valuable to me, and I greatly appreciate your commitment to inclusivity. I also want to thank you for including an LGBT category in your catalog, which makes your service even more appealing. However, I would like to note that the app interface could be a bit more user-friendly. I look forward to future improvements and will continue to enjoy your service with pleasure. Thank you for your efforts!
Unfair lazy reviews
Ok, so the app isn’t as polished as say Netflix or crunchy roll. But it functions. Yeah it doesn’t auto play the next episode, but if you’ve accessed the series, you can swipe up for an episode list and just press the next one… it’s not rocket science.
It’s got a good selection of stuff that Crunchyroll doesn’t have, which is why I started using it.
If you put stuff you like the look of in a watchlist it’s easy to find what you’ve been watching, and what you want to watch next and find the series to get to the next episode.
Yeah it doesn’t have “something similar” options in search. That’s a mild inconvenience at most.
Honestly I feel that some of the bad reviews are from those who just want everything handed to them and be spoonfed stuff.
The app works well enough, and you can set languages and subtitles.
I give it 4 stars because of that, it misses the 5th star due to missing quality of life/spoonfeeding bits, as it’d be nice to have them.
