Absolutely amazing!

I've tried many apps but I always come back to liftin, it might be a bit pricey, and might not have as many features as other apps, but it works perfectly and it has everything that you need. Also it feels like it was made by apple (in a good way).

The only things that might need some work in my opinion is the workout selection tap, changing between splits, It doesn't feel very fluid and straight forward, the whole tab feels a bit "messy". Also I don't know if this a only me problem, but let's say I choose to do a substitute exercise instead of the main one, the next workout when I choose it again it doesn't show me how many reps and kilos I did like the main one, instead I have to press on history.

Great app tho, thank you so much for the great work, and really appreciate the expansion of the experience collection as the new animations!

Best app for progressive overload and customised workouts!

Pro: fantastic for progressive overload (once you figure out the right settings) rest timer, automatic progression (when it works) and setting weight relative to 1RM are a godsend. Apple watch app is also very solid. You do need to dedicate some time to personalising your settings (machine weight increments, automatic progression increments, default warm up weights) but once done, the app is perfect.

Cons: Should have templates for progressive overload, as it's time consuming to figure out and takes a while to set up for all your exercises. The app also needs to make clear the differences between adding exercises to the master plan, and adding them only for that day's plan. At first got very confused when I would add exercises only for them to immediately disappear from my plan.

Thank you for the review and feedback!

You can change the weight increments to 0.25, its done per equipment and you can find it in Settings > Equipment.

2, 3 and 4 I will put on my list of features to explore. Really good ideas! If anything else comes to mind let me know at [email protected].

An app for life

Any fitness enthusiast will share my pain in trying hundreds of different workout tracking apps to find them to be gimmicky, restrictive, and unintuitive. Since I downloaded this app, I’ve never looked back. It’s everything I was looking for - a no frills straightforward workout tracker that does everything I ask of it. It has a sleek easy to use design. It lets me create unlimited workout plans and exercised. It tracks my progressive overload. It syncs with other apps and apple watch etc. It does everything a fitness app is supposed to do and doesn’t try to be something it’s not. I can’t understate the impact this app has had on my health. I’ve renewed my subscription for a third year and I hope to never use another workout tracking app again.
