Merge Dragons‪!‬ 9+

This game is great for those times when you want to just disappear. It’s enjoyable and fun with plenty of opportunities to earn rewards. I love that the events are running a day apart at present and hope this stays, when you have long gaps in between it can become a tad repetitive but at present they are introducing more and more elements. I would like to see more information on some new elements, ie the dragon breeding I’d love to see what you produced from which dragons so it could be maybe repeated and also some explanation as to how to get the dragon rank result requested, that is a lot of guess work at present. There are far more positives for this game than negatives although i would love to see an advent not need quite so much harvesting to clear. One thing I have found an issue was the turtle dragon on the world map, because he takes up so many squares it’s impossible to see what is under him which makes it impossible to play, maybe larger ones could be shrunk to take up a single square in size. I also have to praise customer service who I have contacted a few times, they replied that day and with a solution and couldn’t have done anymore than they have. This game is a win win and fun!

There is a lot to love about this game, but also many frustrations! For a start, the dragons are so stupid. When you start a session, they just cluster round the centre of the screen so you can’t see what’s going on. If you’re not on their case all the time, they tend to go off and do the most unhelpful, obstructive thing they can find. I don’t mind the ads; in fact, I’d be happy with more ads and more rewards, but I suppose it’s all about balance. Even so, it would be great if playing an ad suspended the game. What actually happens is I often hear a dragon or two emerging to set about mischief while I’m stuck watching an ad, dreading to see what they’ve done before I could control them. I’m not even that high up in the game, so it must be real torment for the folks with even more dragons to control. When I’m lining up a merge-five, they love to slip an extra item in as the merge starts, so that I’m actually merging six and getting no benefit. Or, if I need them to harvest something, they’ll take whatever they harvest right across the screen so that bringing it back to re-arrange it gets really tricky. What about all those odd eggs that I got in various events? No hope of ever getting a third egg to make a set of three, is there? Other than that, the game is great. Planning, resource management, challenges - loads to like but spoilt by the frustrating aspects of the game.

Okay, so all games have SOME problems, what I mean by that is that the dragons (npc’s that try and help you) sometimes harvest an item and them put it REAAAAAAAALLLLLYYYYYY far away. This is super annoying, especially when I’m trying to save up on items to do one MASSIVE merge, cause then when I move it back, they all merge and give me less than I wanted. I wish the items in the shop were a bit cheaper, not only the in-app purchases, but also the ones you buy with dragon gems. It’s super hard to get more gems once you’ve bought them all at the beginning ( I made this mistake not knowing how hard it was to earn back). Also, in all the special events, you have the opportunity to earn special dragon eggs. I love playing the events, but when you finally earn one or two, you may not have time to get a third so you can hatch a dragon. This happens to lots of people (as expressed in previous reviews) and you just have nothing to do with the egg/s. I suppose you could sell that one Legendary egg but the thing is, when you do, it’s only worth one measly coin! COME ON, WE MIGHT AS WELL GET OUR MONEYS WORTH!!!!!
