Ratings and Reviews
This is great!
This is a very good app; it is literally the best app for communication and work. Students as well as teachers love it because you can upload assignments very quickly and you can create actual chats for your different classes. This is important for organising events like work meetings and even class discussions. Teams is basically like a hub for chats, calls, and any necessary online meetings. This app is essential for every single school since it is the best app for online learning. I never have a problem addressing issues to a class chat or even uploading assignments because the notifications appear right away in the activity section. This is much than having to open up my laptop to upload an assignment; my phone can do that in just under a minute, which is good because I won’t get detention for not uploading it at all. Teams, like other Microsoft 365 apps, allows you to sign into your account on multiple devices, therefore you can communicate anywhere, anytime. I would definitely recommend this app.
Awful software forced on us
Absolutely cannot stand this app. It is by far the worst work communication app I have ever had the displeasure of using. It has a million bugs and quirks which make work harder and less efficient. Why do I have to press send AFTER something has uploaded, why doesn’t it sent automatically when I upload it? Things end up not being sent for hours because I do something else for the eternity it takes to upload an image and then forget to ever press send. It’s actually laughable that Microsoft have made this utter pile of garbage. If you have ever used slack you will know what good software is and what it’s like to use it and how it can actually help workflows and efficiency. Teams does nothing but hinder at every turn, it’s excruciatingly buggy, every new update is a car crash, the notifications never work the way they should on any device you have the software on. The list of terrible things goes on and on and on but we’d be here all day and I already waste half my day trying to make teams work the way it should. If you have ANY other option please I beg you to use it instead, I do not have that privilege as I am forced to use this junk for work, and I am angry at Microsoft every day for thinking this software is even remotely up to standard. The developers should be ashamed of themselves.
Poor App
Such a poor app. For something that has been around so long it’s still all over the place and can’t decide what it wants to be. Its function and layout are all over the place. Microsoft have shut down Skype and said Teams is the replacement. Replacement for what? The only single function Teams is capable of is sending text to someone else who has managed to install Teams on a very specific setup. Skype I could make and receive phone calls to anyone anywhere in the world and on anything, even my TV. If you work in a large enterprise that Microsoft has managed to convince to part with vast amounts of money then it will have some of the Skype functionality, but you can’t make calls to anyone you like. Business calls only. Skype will be sadly missed and its sad that rather than make a product that is actually good to get people to use it, they have to kill off its competitor, their own product, in order to force people onto Teams. I and I imagine others were strong armed and forced onto teams only to find its complete lack of functionality. Even WhatsApp and Signal are far superior to Teams. At least you can make phone calls on them. Even the Alexa app allows you to make phone calls. Seems like Teams is still the lame duck of the messaging apps.
