Muse — canvas for ideas 4+

Is there a way go use older versions of the app?
It’s a great app for creating moodboards and ideas and the pro membership is a nice price for what it offers however due to updates the app has lost its smooth and seamless feeling.

It’s gone from a clean looking iPad app to something that looks and feels like a desktop app that wasn’t made for iPads. It’s hard to explain but going between things isn’t as smooth (such as pinching to move out of a board) and I would like to be able to remove the bar at the top of the screen, to strip it back. Having lots of features and staying minimal isn’t easy but I believe Muse can pull it off

I do however like the additions of being able to collaborate and make new workspaces. It’s great like an app to see like this growning.

Finding this balance of interface simplicity and discoverability is top of mind, and I'm actively looking into new ways to minimize on screen components for advanced users while still allowing an easy first experience for new users. Recent builds have added Tap To Hide UI in the Settings to enter focus mode. Future build will have more customization to reduce UI on screen as well.

Great idea with two major issues: 1) £85 / $100 per year for the full version? That’s both insane and insulting. Developers, please price your apps appropriately. I’d happily pay you £25 and then extra for major updates. Or if it absolutely has to be a subscription, try £1.99 p/m. But certainly nothing close to what I’d pay for Photoshop, a comprehensive cloud storage solution, or unlimited music consumption. 2) Fun idea with the zooming into canvases, but repurposing a main user interface gesture for something that it wasn’t intended for is frustrating and bad design, as far as I’m concerned. On a large canvas, I want to pinch to zoom in and out (all the way to an overview of my entire board), not to pop in and out of documents.

Thanks for trying out Muse! The pinch gesture can be used both to zoom into nested boards, as well as pinching out to view the full current board's context. Thanks!
