Subscriptions Details
The free version of SmartGym gives access to 2 routines, 10 histories and 2 measures. Upgrade to our monthly or annually subscriptions to access unlimited routines, histories, measurements, plus a premium account that syncs all data to our cloud service.

Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hour prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication.

We love being able to create a full-body or targeted workout based on your skill level and what equipment you have on hand. Create your own routines by selecting the exercise and setting reps or duration.

Fantastic App, and so immensely improved in the last 2 years

This is genuinely one of the best tracker apps I’ve ever used for the Apple Watch.

I used to use it like 4 years ago and back then I gave it 3 stars due to some glaring issues. Came back to it a couple months ago, and I can happily say that basically all the issues I had back then have been sorted.

Usability is top-notch, and its become an indispensable tool in my training.

There are still a few veeeery minor issues (ie the app seems to sometimes get a bit ‘confused’ if you skip an exercise then come back to it later, or finish all your sets then come back to add another) but they’re so tiny they’re barely worth the mention.

One thing I’d like to request from the Devs if possible, is to update the “Apply changes to all” feature, where when you edit and make changes to the FIRST set in an exercise during a workout, you can then apply those to every other set below that. It’s a fantastic feature, slightly limited by the fact that it’s only usable if you edit the FIRST set which often is just a warmup set that doesn’t need editing (it doesn’t come up if you edit set 2 or set 3).

So if you guys could make the “apply changes to all” show up after editing ANY set, and just make it apply the changes to all sets below the one that was edited, that’d be fantastic.

Regardless of that though great work so far, thumbs up from me.

Hi David, thanks for such an amazing review. This kind of detailed feedback are great to always help us improve our product and make SmartGym even better.

1. This is something we are already working on and should have a fix soon. This limitation is due to perfomance issues on the Watch. Btw, this limitation is only on the Watch. You can set any weight on the iOS app.

2. Thanks for this suggestion. We will see what we can do about that in the future.

3. The algorithm behind all the health data tracking is entirely from Apple. If you use the default Workout app from the Watch, you will get fairly similar results. This algorithm is extremely complex, heavily tested, uses many different variables collected from different sensors from the Watch, and it's one of the most precise algorithms you can have on any smart watch. You don't need to worry. You're not cheating. :)

4. That's actually something you can already do. You can edit any workout as long as it's in the same day you did it. You can just open the iOS app after the workout to change the weight to anything higher than 200 Kgs.

Can’t do a workout without it!

I’ve been a SmartGym Premium user for just over 2 years now and I don’t think I can do a workout without it.

I’ve been using the SmartGym app primarily on my Apple Watch and it really is such a quick and easy way to keep track of your lifts during the workout itself - so it helped me stay accountable and stick with the plans I’ve made. It’s also pretty neat having 1RM estimates within the app itself so you can set up your next workouts with the right RPE.

I also wanted to shout out the devs for being transparent and responsive! I reported an issue I was facing and they were inquisitive and even shared insights into what they believed might have gone wrong. Once they pushed a fix, they reached out to me once again to let me know. Bravo SmartGym team!
